It’s not just the sweet tricks that make this short vid — it’s the exultation of a mother and daughter celebrating each other in the mountains.
At just 16 years old, Canadian snowboarder Jenna Walker has made a name for herself on the national stage.
She shreds half pipes with the best of them, dominating competitions and looking more confident all the time. Yet, it’s more than a passion for her — it’s a form of connection to her family.
Jenna’s father died when she was just 4 years old. Yet he had already introduced his children to winter sports, Jill Taylor-Walker says in the vid from Sport Chek.
“His only touch was snowboarding,” Taylor-Walker says. “His love for snowboarding was so deep he would have done anything to be at the top of the hill with them and ride all the way down with them.”
