Called the REI Outessa Summit, the first-of-its-kind event series for women offers three days of scheduled outdoor activities, product demos, classes, and guided excursions with professional outdoor athletes and guides.

The weekend events, produced by Eventus Outdoors, will cater to experienced outdoorswomen and newbies alike via outdoor education, free time recreation, and guided adventures for women.

Kirkwood Resort at Lake Tahoe, Calif., will host the first weekend (August 19 -21); Powder Mountain, Utah, then hosts the second event (September 9 -11).

Cost is $749 to register, which includes all meals, wine and beer, and “all the activities you want and more as well as a gift that is valued around $200 a person,” the organization states.

It will then be set up on site, letting the attendee learn how to use the camping gear and take it home with her for adventures ahead.
