Emergency! Break Out The 'Survival Mug'

Your buddy has just broken his leg. You need cord to build a splint. Thinking quickly, you unravel your coffee mug and get to work.

Ok, so it’s a bit of a stretch, but a scenario requiring emergency access to parachute cord could be addressed with the Khordz mug, which is basically a mason jar wrapped in 25 feet of military grade paracord with some clever knot work.

The mugs are customizable, dishwasher- and microwave-safe and you could use them to build a snare.

Khordz is currently fund-raising on the crowd-sourcing site indiegogo in the hopes of raising $5,000 to begin production of the made-in-California product. Khordz mugs will retail for $20 if production becomes a reality. —Sean McCoy

I have had something like this for YEARS…and the mug is not glass but stainless steel so it can be used on a fire for emergencies. The Cobra stitch for the handle can be done in 10 mins
