Snow lovers have some sweet options this week, including a new smart helmet, skis with abstract art, and an award-winning backcountry backpack. Cyclists shouldn’t miss another smart helmet — this one with tons of safety features, including SOS and video — along with SCOTT’s lightest-ever road bike.

LIND Canvas E-Surfboard
I’ve never tried an electric surfboard, but these sure look like a good time.
LIND, a water sports brand founded in 2021, has launched the LIND Canvas, a modular surfboard that uses electric propulsion to reach speeds up to 37 mph and a ride time up to 45 minutes. Powered by a 20kW drivetrain, the board weighs 15 pounds, including a battery and propulsion system that fits into a custom backpack. Assembly takes less than a minute, the brand said.
Made from EPS foam, epoxy resin, and an oak wood tail block, the Canvas also has safety features like sensors that prevent the jet from spinning unless submerged. The LIND Canvas is now available for a hefty price tag of about $25,000 (before taxes). It comes with the board, drivetrain, remote, charger, board bag, and fins.
YASHICA x I’m Back Virtus X1
Cyclists concerned about safety will want to look at this “smart helmet.” The helmet, designed for urban riders and e-bike users, has a built-in camera with wide-angle fisheye capability to record 2K video at 30 fps or 1,080p at 60 fps.
Made by YASHICA and I’m Back, the VirtusX1 Smart Helmet syncs with a mobile app to offer real-time video streaming, file transfers, and editing. Riders can store footage on micro SD cards up to 128GB.
The helmet itself is certified to NTA-8776 e-bike safety standards, with wraparound lights with 260-lumen brightness. But that’s not all. It also has GPS tracking, an SOS emergency function, and a 1,600mAh battery providing 10 hours of light-only operation. Weatherproof and dustproof, the VirtusX1 is available via Indiegogo for $180.
Striker x Coors Light Ice Fishing Suit
If the above angler seems unconcerned about the number of beers clogging his ice fishing hole — welcome to ice fishing.
For a limited time, Coors Light lovers can rep their favorite beverage with a branded ice fishing suit from Striker. Designed for anglers braving icy conditions, the suit combines style and safety, the brands said.
It’s made with Striker’s Sureflote flotation assist technology, a perforated system built into the outer shell to improve moisture management and breathability. The suit also has durable, weather-resistant materials, according to Striker, along with the Coors design.
Available as a jacket and bib, both pieces are sold separately for $300. Once sold out, the Coors Light Suit will not be restocked, the brands said.
Dovetail Workwear x TREW Gear Work Bib
Portland-based brands Dovetail Workwear and TREW Gear just released the Rock Creek Work Bib, a hybrid workwear-snow bib designed for extreme winter conditions. It brings together TREW’s expertise in technical winter gear with Dovetail’s focus on women’s workwear.
Built for women navigating harsh winter environments — from ski patrol and mountain operations to snowmobiling and snow sports — the Rock Creek Work Bib is available in sizes XS to 4XL with multiple inseam options, making it suitable for a range of body types, the brands said. The limited-edition bib is available in two colors for $600.
POC Obex Connect
Stay in touch with up to eight people at the push of a button — right from your ski helmet.
That’s the idea behind the Obex Connect, a snow sports helmet system from Swedish brand POC. The Obex Connect comes with audio and communications technology developed in partnership with Harman Kardon. It allows skiers and snowboarders to talk privately or join public communication channels.
The helmet supports music streaming, phone calls, and voice assistance via Bluetooth. Existing Obex helmet owners can retrofit their helmets with the new headset, or purchase the system with the helmet included. The IP54-certified headset also protects against dust and water. Pricing for the Obex Connect system starts at $350.

Völkl Limited-Edition Skis
Abstract art meets high-end ski design with a new limited-edition ski collection from German manufacturer Völkl. The brand teamed up with Filip Pagowski, a Polish graphic artist known for his iconic PLAY logo for Comme des Garçons, to design the collection.
Pagowski reimagined three of Völkl’s most popular models — the Racetiger SL, Peregrine 72, and Blaze 104 — with unique designs inspired by the distinct characteristics of the skis, the brand said.
Pagowski, who resides in Chamonix and is an avid skier, visited Völkl’s Straubing factory to immerse himself in the ski-making process. Each model reflects a different concept: the Racetiger SL evokes speed and technical precision, the Blaze 104 channels the tread of an off-road tire, and the Peregrine 72 has claw-inspired graphics symbolizing grip and agility. With fewer than 500 units available, the Racetiger SL and Peregrine 72 are priced at $1,450, while the Blaze 104 is $1,000.
Fenix LR36R White Laser Flashlight
You probably want to be extra careful to avoid shining this flashlight in anybody’s eyes. Fenix just dropped the LR36R, a flashlight that combines a 10,000-lumen floodlight with a white laser beam.
It could serve as powerful tool for emergency responders or outdoor athletes, the brand said. The flashlight’s white laser beam reaches up to 4,134 feet, while the floodlight mode provides wide-area illumination for broader visibility.
It includes five lighting modes: Floodlight, Laser, Floodlight + Laser, Strobe, and SOS, all controlled via a rotating dial. Its OLED display provides real-time updates on brightness, battery life, and mode selection.
Powered by two rechargeable batteries, the LR36R offers a maximum runtime of 102 hours. It includes a USB-C charging port, holster, lanyard, and spare O-ring. Backed by a limited lifetime warranty from Fenix Lighting USA, it costs $360.
Raide LF 30L Ski Touring BackpackÂ
This award-winning backpack wants to be your go-to for skiing the backcountry. Raide’s LF 30L ski touring backpack has been awarded the prestigious 2024 ISPO Award in the Snowsports category. First released in 2023, the LF 30L has been updated for 2024 and is now part of an expanded line that includes a 40L option and models compatible with the Safeback SBX air supply system.
The ISPO jury praised the pack’s ability to maintain its shape and ensure easy access to essential gear, even when fully loaded. SCOTT Addict RC
SCOTT has released what it calls its lightest-ever race bike. The 2025 Addict RC offers a 300g reduction in frame kit weight compared to its predecessor.
Weighing under 5.9 kg as a complete bike, it’s built to excel in climbs, sprints, and high-speed descents. SCOTT’s engineers used new carbon molding techniques inspired by mountain bike design to achieve a fully hollow frame, the brand said.
The new Addict RC includes five models, all with HMX carbon construction, while the top-tier RC Ultimate has the exclusive HMX-SL frame. Other enhancements include a redesigned frame geometry to accommodate 34mm tires, improved aerodynamics, and a Syncros SP-R101-CF seat post. Prices start at $5,000, depending on the model.
