Trayvax OG 2.0
From Trayvax comes the OG 2.0, a tactical wallet with useful everyday features. The OG 2.0 fits 15 cards, has a money/pocket clip, pry bar, bottle opener, and unique cord design for holding cards outside the wallet (think an ID card). Trayvax launched the OG 2.0 on Kickstarter for $30.
Patagonia Recycled Gore-Tex
Patagonia continues to push boundaries with renewable fabrics with its latest winter jacket, the Powder Bowl Jacket. This two-layer, waterproof-breathable jacket is the first to use 100-percent recycled Gore-Tex face fabric. Additionally, it features high-quality design elements Patagonia is known for, like a powder skirt, a chest pocket with cable routing, and a concealed RECCO relfector. The Powder Bowl is available in women’s and men’s for $399 now.
Realtree Leatherman Tool
Your Leatherman may be harder to find thanks to its latest print in Realtree Hardwoods Camo. Announced this week, multi-tool brand Leatherman released a Realtree Hardwoods Camo version of the Charge TTi. The tool still boasts the same titanium handles and S30V knife blade — a steel renowned for its toughness, hardness, and corrosion resistance. Check out the Charge TTi in Realtree for $180.
Backcountry.com Branded Ski Gear
Shred the backcountry this winter in gear made by appropriately named online retailer Backcountry.com. The Park City, Utah-based retailer announced its first line of in-house gear last spring, and the ski-touring collection is available now. Backcountry employed designers and product managers for the collection, and released the Nebo unisex ski with DPS, a jacket, and bib with Flylow; gloves with Black Diamond; and mid layers and base layers. QWNN Origami Light
String the QWNN up at home or the campsite for light from a beautiful source. Inspired by origami and foladable, the QWNN is a portable 4,000-mAh powerbank and lantern in one. It offers six light modes from 45 to 320 lumens. Use the built-in magnets or elastic handles to hang. QWNN is available on Indiegogo now for $65.
Ledlenser MH7
Ledlenser’s newest additions to its Outdoor Series of headlamps, the MH3, MH5, and MH7, are capable as both headlamps and flashlights. The most-equipped in the release, the MH7, is a sub-5-ounce headlamp boasting 400 lumens. And you can charge it via USB or disposable batteries. Drift Board
Drift presents a nuanced way to travel in deep snow with a permanent skin attached to the bottom: Drift Boards. Two bindings enable winter boots and snowboard boots to fit. And a folding heel cup enables users to ascend easier. Updates for this year’s model include a stronger core, new tip shape for gliding, a lighter binding plate, and new buckle and strap design to prevent loosening. Check out Drift Boards for $419. Fiets & Fiets Backpack
Backpack brand Fiets & Fiets presents a new way to carry gear outside your pack with a docking platform. With three accessories (and plans for more), you can attach a bike light, hook, or shoe bag. The hook attachment lets you attach a lock, essentially locking your backpack’s main strap, or a helmet, hat, and other bulky items. Additionally, the Fiets & Fiets backpack is waterproof and cycling friendly, with lash straps to attach to a rack or handlebars. Fiets & Fiets expects to launch on Kickstarter in late October.
Triple F.A.T. Goose Aisen Collection
From stylish down brand Triple F.A.T. Goose comes a line of rain jackets, dubbed the Aisen Collection. Included are the Valen and Chelsea — stylish, all-black, waterproof-breathable jackets that weigh just above 1 pound. Triple F.A.T. Goose also used waterproof zippers and fully seam-sealed construction for what looks like bomber jackets. The Valen and Chelsea are available now for $300.
Hoppy GU
Fuel up on your next run with the flavor of hops thanks to GU Energy’s flavor for March 2019. That’s right, you’ll soon be able to taste the sweet relief of a post-workout brew during your workout. GU claims the gel tastes like hops and milder citrus notes. The inspiration comes from celebratory cold beer after long training sessions. The caffeine-free gel has 100 calories and comes out next year.
Dyneema 'The One' Jacket
In any conditions — rain, snow, wind — crowdfunding brand One Shell intends to be a quiver killer. With three layers in one package, including a warm insulating layer, a second active insulating layer, and the hallmark “The One” shell, the brand claims to have you covered. The difference is in the shell, constructed with Dyneema fabric. It looks eerily similar in design (and name) to Hyperlite Mountain Gear’s Dyneema jacket “The Shell,” which is known for its waterproofing and ultralight weight. The One Shell is on Kickstarter now for the high price of $512 Super Early Bird.
Interstellar 'Many Moons' Blanket
Rumpl’s newest print is space themed and worthy of its “Many Moons” Puffy Blanket name. To debut the design, Rumpl launched the blanket to space via weather balloon. Talk about product testing! The synthetic-fill adventure blanket reached heights of 110,000 feet and temperatures of -100 degrees F. Check out the Many Moons Blanket for $129.
