Mars Man Technology
The new Dainese Explorer Range not only makes you look like a spaceman but uses technology the brand developed for a mission to Mars.
Dainese has been collaborating with MIT to develop specialized, high-tech bodysuits for astronauts going on a mission to Mars in 2030.
The result of this research is clothing that is super lightweight and offers exceptional fit and advanced ergonomics. As the brand explains:

Dainese Antartica
The Dainese Antartica Gore-Tex outfit is ready to keep you warm riding in the coldest places on the planet. Sadly for us, we’ll have to wait until January to get our hands on this new cold-weather riding gear, even though it’s getting cold in many places already.
The Antartica jacket and pants combo is the pinnacle of the new Explorer Range from Dainese. It offers all-weather protection in an extremely durable and armored package.
A laminated Gore-Tex shell protects you from the weather while claiming to be extremely breathable. The jacket includes a removable inner 700-fill goose down jacket, keeping you warm on and off the bike. When the weather gets warmer, a host of direct-to-body vents, including chest vents with waterproof TIZIP zippers, keep you cool.
Trixior armored shoulders, elbows, and knees add protection and cushion for those times when you find yourself coming off the bike in rough terrain. The Antartica jacket even includes a Pro-Armor back protector.
Dainese is touting some impressive-sounding “Adapt” and “G.O.” pockets on the Antartica as well. These new pockets are designed to be easily accessible both while seated on the bike and while standing. They are designed to work well with gloves, offer quick access, and hold a bunch of gear securely. While these features sound handy, we’re going to have to try it out before completely swallowing the marketing hype.
The Antartica jacket will retail for $1,499.95 and the pants for $899.95.
Rounding Out the Explorer Series
The Dolomiti Gore-Tex outfit is a hot-weather value version of the Antartica. It’s a riding jacket ($699.95) and pant ($469.95) combo better suited to sweltering temps. Where the Antartica has you covered when it’s crazy cold, the Dolomiti will have you sorted when the weather gets hot and humid.
Meanwhile, the Gran Turismo offers most of the Antartica technology at a slightly lower price point ($1,099.95 jacket/$699.95 pants). Instead of a down insulation jacket, the Gran Turismo includes a removable fleece jacket. It also focuses on protecting the adventure road-touring motorcyclist from the elements.
Sure, all these suits are going to make you look like a spaceman on your motorcycle. But they’re also going to keep you comfortable and safe no matter the environment your next moto adventure takes you.
