About the Author
I began writing professionally as a features reporter for my college newspaper in Central Illinois. After earning a bachelor’s degree, I pursued an MFA in creative writing in Philadelphia. With my Master’s degree in hand, I opted for a cross-country bicycle tour over a career in academia. 7,000 miles later, I moved to Colorado, where I’ve worked in the outdoor industry since. I feel fortunate every day that I can combine my love of the outdoors with writing. My personal interests include adventure travel, backpacking, running, cycling, photography, and music.
