I’m a small-town Minnesota lake boy turned mountain man based in Boulder, Colorado. I grew up bagging dirt at my dad’s composting company and going on adventures in the Boundary Water Canoe Area — the beginnings of my interests in people, the environment, and outdoor recreation. Soon after, my liberal arts education at Saint John’s University taught me the value of ​justice, curiosity, stewardship, and friendship. Now I’m a full-time writer, but if you can’t get ahold of me, I might be playing cribbage or drinking an old-fashioned.
