I’m a small-town Minnesota lake boy turned mountain man based in Boulder, Colorado. I grew up bagging dirt at my dad’s composting company and going on adventures in the Boundary Water Canoe Area — the beginnings of my interests in people, the environment, and outdoor recreation. Soon after, my liberal arts education at Saint John’s University taught me the value of justice, curiosity, stewardship, and friendship. Now I’m a full-time writer, but if you can’t get ahold of me, I might be playing cribbage or drinking an old-fashioned.
