Fast setup, stable, and lightweight… the Feedback Sports Sprint Work Stand is a solid choice for home mechanics and pros alike.
After years of hauling bulky, heavy bike stands to races, putting hands on the Feedback Sports Sprint stand was sweet. Weighing about 12 pounds, it felt featherweight compared to “old blue,” my ancient Park Tool stand.
Despite the diminutive weight, it has become my go-to stand for wrenching at home and on the road. What separates it from most stands on the market is its use of a “Euro style” fork mount instead of the common seat post clamp.
This keeps the entire bike on a sliding rail and makes servicing hard-to-reach parts easier. Because it mounts to either the front or rear axle mount, it allows you to service brakes and wheels easily.
Adjustability
The stand height varies between 30″-48″ and the clamp lets you swivel the bike. The legs spread as much or little as you have room for without affecting stand height too much.
The fork mount has wide adjustment, clamping everything from road bikes to mountain bikes. It also comes with adaptors to accommodate thru-axels.
Once the fork is clamped in, the bottom bracket sits on an elevated mount and allows free movement of the drivetrain.
The top rail slides forward and backward to balance the bike over the center pole and locks into place with a quick-release cam lever on the bottom. It slides out and folds down when not in use.
Portability
At about 12 pounds the Sprint is light and folds down small enough to bring as an airline carry-on. Feedback sells a sling bag that carries the whole rig, but it’s just as easy to throw in the back of a car.
It folds down into a tight package to stow in a corner when not in use. Of all the repair stands that I’ve used, the Sprint is by far the lightest and most portable.
Final Impressions
If you’re looking for a stand that can do double duty on the road and in the shop, the Sprint stand has you covered. I was able to do all of the repairs and adjustments that I could do on a much heavier shop stand without any issues. And its portability and light weight don’t sacrifice durability. This stand has held up to heavy use over the last few months without showing any signs of loosening or wear.
