Dive into underground cycling culture with Pete Stetina to talk gravel tips, FKTs, favorite trails, and more.
The 140-mile Kokopelli Trail runs from Loma, Colorado, to Moab, Utah. It’s singletrack and doubletrack. It’s scenic yet challenging. It’s winding, windy, sandy, and gravel-y. And it’s the perfect trail for a bike FKT.
In this Canyon premiere film, gravel champ Peter Stetina chats with elite cyclists to determine what it would take to beat the current Kokopelli Trail FKT. As of November 2020, it was a record 10 hours and 56 minutes, set by Kurt Refsnider.
But in April 2021, Stetina decided to challenge that time. Did he beat the record on one of the most famous mountain biking FKTs?
Spoiler alert: He did, but watch the film to find out how. (And, by how close a margin.)
