‘Anywhere From Here’: Skiing and Surfing on Vancouver Island

British Columbia’s Vancouver Island has everything, from skiing its mountain slopes to surfing the ocean waves. Matchstick Productions’ athletes test the waters … and the snow.

Where rugged mountains meet the Pacific coastal shoreline, you can enjoy shredding fresh powder, then turn around and catch some rugged coastal waves — all in one location and without the crowds.

Vancouver offers some of the best skiing and surfing, and you can do both in a single day. So it makes sense that professional surfers Mathea Olin and Kalum Temple teamed up with professional skiers Mark Abma and Lucas Wachs to venture there for the Matchstick Productions movie “Anywhere From Here.”

In this segment from the full film, the experts tour the region. They get out of their comfort zones. And they share their passions in a beautiful place where skiing and surfing co-exist: Vancouver Island.

To watch the full “Anywhere From Here” film, head over to Matchstick Productions. It’s a remarkable adventure.
