As we reported last month, Bear Grylls (he of the broadcast television hit “Man vs. Wild”) has designed a knife for Gerber. The “Bear Grylls Ultimate Knife” — a $60 uber-blade that I reviewed here — drew a slew of comments on GearJunkie as well as a few emails. Lots of passion, positive and negative, surrounding this Grylls guy!

Some more news now for the Grylls lovers and haters. . . In February, Gerber will ship a complete line of “Bear”-inspired products, from a multi-tool to a machete to a survival kit. We haven’t got our paws on these items yet for a test. But for the Grylls fans out there who can’t wait, here’s a sneak peek on a few of the to-be-released Bear-branded products.
