Two Chicago bass anglers innovated and created a jig that caught fire. Then, Catch Co. caught up with them and took it to the next level.

It takes a relentless sort of angler to create something new. And when urban bass anglers JayPee Hey and Ryan Whitacre pooled their obsessive talents to create the Baby Firework Super Jig, that’s exactly what happened.

A new film from Catch Co. details the story from start to mass-produced finish. It turns out that it’s hard to be a two-man band creating jigs from scratch. But Hey and Whitacre were onto something.

Catch Co. partnered with the pair, and through Karl’s Bait & Tackle, they were able to bring this unique urban-angling-focused jig to market.
