The Gen4 is the smallest generation of SPOT yet. The new SPOT Gen4 ($150) is designed for those who travel off the grid and has enhanced tracking options, an upgraded mapping interface (with light and dark modes), and an IP68 waterproof rating. The coolest new feature is motion-activated tracking, which lets the Gen4 send tracking data at a chosen rate only when the device is turned on and moving, conserving battery life. The Gen4 will launch in July 2020.

G-SHOCK Mudmaster GGB100 Watch

This newer watch in G-SHOCK’s Mudmaster series is for those who can’t compromise on durability. The GGB100 watch ($380) is mud-resistant and has a bunch of cool features, like a carbon resin structure and bezel and a high-rigidity carbon case to protect against impact. The watch also has Quad Sensors to track temperature, altitude, steps, an integrated compass, and more. It works with the G-SHOCK app as well.

Instinct X Trail Vest

Instinct X Ghost

The Instinct X Vest ($160) is a 10L vest that combines all the features of the Instinct’s current packs but with even more refinement. The brand added new rustproof eyelets for the lacing, two front vertical zipper pockets, rear pole attachments, and a new “pivoting rear pocket” design. The vest, designed for longer runs and ultras, provides minimalist body contact and comes with or without flasks.

The Bozeman Low ($120) is made with a unique combo of REPREVE recycled materials, an algae bloom insole, Nubuck leather, an EVA midsole, and a TPU heel clip. The low-rise hikers have 3.5mm lugs. The Bozeman launches on August 4, will be available in men’s and women’s, and will also come in a mid style. Although we’re not in Bozeman, we’re still looking forward to testing these on the trail.

CamelBak MultiBev Vessel

CamelBak’s new MultiBev ($48) recently got a 2020 Red Dot Design Award for its design. The vessel is essentially an all-in-one system for whatever drinks you may need throughout your day. It’s a fully insulated bottle with a separate drinking cup that screws into the bottom (both BPA-free and made with stainless steel). There’s also a leakproof lid that folds into the water bottle cap. The MultiBev is available in two sizes: a 22- and 16-ounce or a 17- and 12-ounce combo.

Gerber Truss Multitool

The Truss multitool ($50) is an all-inclusive multitool with 17 tools (all outboard, all locking) built into a “size-conscious” design. While compact, this is still a full-size multitool: with spring-loaded needle-nose pliers, wire cutters, wire strippers, a saw, a 2.25-inch plain-edge blade, a 2.25-inch serrated blade, a can opener, and more. With this tool, Gerber aims to reduce weight while retaining functionality.

The Evergreen Daypack ($92 on sale) is a versatile 35L travel and adventure backpack made with a weather-resistant coated canvas and polyester lining.
