Turn your runs up to 11 with this hard-charging collab between Roark and speed metal gods Mötorhead. If you’ve stalled on besting that PR, go ahead and spin “Ace of Spades,” suit up with the collection’s Mathis “War Pig” knit technical running tee, or the 7-inch Bommer 2.0 shorts, and run like a bat outta hell. In all, 14 different pieces make up the Mötorhead x Roark Run Amok collab — including socks, caps, shirts, hoodies, and shorts — all designed to take you straight from the trail to the tavern. Sanuk Plant-Based Veg-Out Footwear Collection
Corn, hemp, bamboo — the materials list for the new Veg Out footwear collection from Sanuk ($70 per pair) reads like the menu at a vegan restaurant. The collection includes two “Sidewalk Surfer” styles with hemp cotton blend uppers and cork-based outsoles. According to the brand, the entire Veg Out series is “100% carbon neutral,” with offsets purchased for any emissions created in production. Natural latex adhesive joins the outsole to the upper, which contains a jute felt sockliner.
TAXA Outdoors Cricket Trailer in Camo
This week, Taxa Outdoors launches a series of fresh color schemes for its series of high-end adventure trailers. Pictured here is the Cricket ($36,000+), a rugged overlanding “habitat” in one of the new camo colors. The Cricket can sleep up to four, and it comes with a built-in kitchen counter and two-burner stoves. The newly available exterior designs include four patterns — Desert Night, Digital, Chocolate Chip, and Hex — brought to life in three unique shades: gray-toned Acid, green-toned Tropical, and brown-toned Arctic.
Ripton & Co. Regulator Denim Vest
These days, there is no shortage of pricey outerwear made with fancy materials and impressive-sounding tech. Still, there’s no substitute for good ol’ denim. Ripton specializes in the stuff, and the brand’s new Regulator Denim Vest ($89) is a refined take on an old classic. Made from four-way stretch denim with a “cozy brushed interior,” the Regulator is designed to protect the core from chilly wind without restricting motion.
Therabody Theragun mini 2.0
Like Chapstick and Kleexex, “Theragun” has become the idiom for an entire category of products. This week, Therabody, the maker of Theragun percussion massagers, announces the mini 2.0 ($199), an updated version of the popular mini. According to the brand, the new model is 20% smaller and 30% lighter than its predecessor. Small enough to fit in a jacket pocket, the mini 2.0 is ideal for traveling athletes.
KUIU Yukon HD Hunting Boot Gaiter
Autumn brings vibrant foliage and cool air, but it also delivers muddy trails and slushy snow. Designed with hiking hunters in mind, KUIU’s Yukon HD Gaiters ($109) are a gateway to dry socks. The Yukon’s three-layer construction combines a waterproof membrane, PrimeFlex face fabric, and a 330D CORDURA lining. The hook and loop closure is “industrial strength.” Numerous camo color options are available.
Recover Brands Sports Elite Collection
Recover Brands claims that its new Sports Elite Collection ($35+) is the “most sustainable activewear on the market.” The “Closed Loop” manufacturing process starts with “100% post-consumer recycled plastic” and ends with a fully recyclable product. The pictured “Frost” colored tank top ($30) is part of the collection, and several other men’s and women’s styles are available. The brand suggests using the Sports Elite clothes for activities including “scrambling up boulders,” and “finding namaste.”
Knog Scout Bike Alarm and Finder
Unfortunately, bike theft is a perennial headache for just about every cyclist. The Knog Scout Bike Alarm and Finder ($60) is a micro widget that aims to prevent theft and ease the process of recovering a stolen bike. Utilizing Apple’s “Find My” network, the Scout can be traced to a “highly accurate” degree. Once the Scout is activated, any movement of the bike it’s attached to will trigger an “impossible to ignore” 85-decibel alarm. Android connectivity is “coming soon.” Riders can attach the device in plain view as a theft deterrent, or stealthily under a bottle cage as a hidden defense.
Goal Zero Sherpa 100AC Power Bank
OG portable battery brand Goal Zero drops the next generation of Sherpa power banks. According to the brand, the latest Sherpas pump out 60% more power than the old models. Two versions are available, the Sherpa 100AC ($300) and the fast-charging Sherpa 100PD ($200). Both banks can connect to Goal Zero Nomad solar panels for off-grid charging.
QALO x Pela Compostable Silicone Rings
For active folks, silicone rings are a popular alternative to precious metal jewelry. Now, silicone ring stalwarts QALO team up with waste elimination company Pela to create a series of compostable rings ($40 each). According to the brands, the rings won’t begin to break down until they’re placed in a compost pile or countertop composter. Men’s and women’s styles are available in a variety of colors.
Nomatic Navigator Collapsible Sling 3L
When the activity at hand requires just a few liters of storage, you don’t need to lug around a full-size backpack. NOMATIC’s 3L Collapsible Sling has just enough storage space for a round of afternoon errands or a jog in the park. A series of compression straps allow users to minimize the excess volume and keep the sling compact. Four internal mesh pockets and a molded EVA back panel round out the features list.
