Reebok Nano X1 Halloween Pack

Reebok’s revamp of the Nano X1 pays homage to the classic icons of horror — Frankenstein’s monster and the bride of Frankenstein. The brand says this shoe is also dedicated to the “ultimate monsters of fitness”: athletes. The Nano X1 Halloween Pack ($130) comes in faded green and black, with stitching details on the eye row and back heel. Plus, it has monster sock liner graphics.

Sierra Designs Mobile Mummy Sleeping Bag

The Sierra Designs Mobile Mummy bag is designed for all those who toss and turn during the night. Whether you’re an anxious sleeper, side sleeper, or just want extra room to get cozy, the Mobile Mummy 15° ($300-320) is the perfect solution. It has a 55% recycled ripstop shell fabric, 800-fill down, a zipper down the front with armholes at either side, and a detachable footbox. It’s also available in a women’s-specific version.

Bigfoot Bushcraft Fire Plugs

A 100% waterproof firestarter? We like the idea. Bigfoot Bushcraft‘s Fire Plugs are on sale now (from $10). They’re made with the brand’s quick-burning wax blend and are waterproof and windproof. The firestarters have a 5-minute burn time and a 10-plus-year shelf life. You can also get an accompanying ferro rod if you want. Bigfoot Bushcraft is based in Colorado.

Friction Labs Liquid Chalk

What’s more haunting than ghouls and ghosts? Maybe your hand slipping off a small crimp in the middle of that V9 project. Or maybe your climbing gym closing due to COVID. Friction Labs is here to combat both of these scaries with its new formula of Secret Stuff Hygienic Liquid Chalk ($19). Made with an 80% ethyl alcohol base, its magnesium carbonate will give you super grippy powers while keeping germs at bay.

Chrome Reflective Night Series Collection

Looking for glow-in-the-dark gear? Look no further than the Chrome Industries Night Series. The collection of reflective apparel includes a reflective wind Cobra jacket, reflective socks, “night bag,” hats, and more (starting at $25). All the apparel items have Chrome’s 360-degree Hi-Viz reflective coating, while the night bags have extra reflective panels and trims.

Canfield Yelli Screamy Hardtail

The third generation of this 29-inch hardtail may be better than before. The aluminum-hardtail-frame Yelli Screamy — frame for $800, full build for $3,400 — is longer and slacker, with increased reach across all sizes, a 65.5-degree head angle, and a 130mm fork. The Yelli also features stealth dropper routing, boost spacing, three water bottle mounts, and a shiny skull and chainring metal decal. Delivery is expected by January 2022.

Oakley Coyote Boot

Born more than 20 years ago, Oakley built its Coyote boot to function like a sneaker while still keeping its combat-inspired style. The Coyote Boot ($180) has an EVA midsole, slip-resistant rubber outsole, and upper made of lightweight nylon and genuine leather. The Coyote Boot also now comes in three limited-edition (and slightly spooky) neon colors.

Smartwool 'Socktober' Socks

student-designed sun moon and stars limited edition Smartwool socks

For Smartwool, October is “Socktober.” The brand is partnering with various nonprofit organizations to design awesome socks to reflect its cause. Our favorite is the Big City Mountaineers partnership Hike Sock ($23), designed by a student in Minneapolis. “I was inspired by a combination of Mexican art and my love of space and science,” she said. Over 90 students participated in the Socktober campaign.

Limited-Edition Opinel Escapade Folding Knife

Inspired by tattoo designs, Opinel’s newest Artist Series Escapade ($45 each) comes in three patterns: Bivouac, Elevation, and Azimut. French tattoo artist Jérémy Groshens’ designs grace Opinel’s Escapade, a 12C27 stainless steel blade with a French hornbeam hardwood handle. Only 800 knives are available in the United States.

Tailwind Nutrition Matcha Powder

This green substance may be reminiscent of Slimer, but don’t worry, it’s delicious. Tailwind Nutrition’s new green flavor is Matcha, designed in its caffeinated Endurance Fuel blend to deliver calories and electrolytes. The Matcha’s ingredients include organic mandarin orange, lemon, berry, raspberry, and matcha. It’s available in bulk or single-serving packs (from $20).
