Sure, you’ve got pliers, scissors, and God knows how many drivers. But can your Leatherman cut a cigar?
Multitools are a pillar of outdoor EDC equipment. Crazy versatile and useful in myriad situations, most people can benefit from carrying one.
But have you ever seen a multitool based on a cigar cutter? Well, now you have. Meet the Benchmade 381 Aller Fumée.
Benchmade 381 Aller Fumée
Benchmade took the slick Aller pocket knife one step further. The new $160 381 Aller Fumée incorporates a 56-ring-gauge cut-out window in the Richlite handle. This turns a popular friction folder into a multipurpose cigar cutter.
The CPM-S30V guillotine blade profile is modified to provide a clean cut.
Beyond cutting cigars, the Aller Fumée provides a screwdriver/pry tip, micro bit slot, a custom pocket/money clip, bottle opener, and lanyard/keyring hole. The original design aimed to be a knife that’s legal to carry almost anywhere while still being useful for cutting. And now it’ll also cut a cigar.
The Aller Fumée will retail for $160 and is available on December 9.
