Do Try This at Home: Learn Lofting & Jumping on an Adventure Motorcycle

We can now add adventure motorcycle touring stunts to the long list of YouTube tutorials. Learn to shred (safely) with this approachable lesson.

Judging by his name alone, Dusty Wessels seems destined to be a motorcycle driving instructor. As he calmly explains two techniques for handling rough trails, you might think you could actually pull off these moves.

“Jumping a 500-plus-pound motorcycle is getting both wheels off the ground,” Wessels manages to say without a hint of condescension.

Once past the basic explainers of lofting (lifting the front wheel) and jumping (see above), Wessels provides additional tips for practice. Wherever you ride your motorcycle, YouTube and Dusty are here to help.
