If you missed the Coors Beer Run in New York in honor of National Beer Day, don’t worry. You can still win a frosty 12-pack.

April 7, 1933, was the first National Beer Day, marking the end of Prohibition in the U.S. (a joyous day indeed!) And because World Health Day falls on the same day, Coors celebrated by holding a beer run in New York.

Professional athletes ran six different routes in Central Park, spread out according to COVID-19 safety guidelines, wearing face masks as well as T-shirts with QR codes on them.

Amateur runners who were quick enough had the opportunity to scan the QR codes with their smartphones — from 6 feet away — and redeem a PayPal or Venmo rebate for a 12-pack of the brand’s latest offering: Coors Pure, its first USDA-certified organic beer.

But this isn’t just about the beer you missed. If you couldn’t make it to Central Park on April 7, you still have time to snag some beer. Coors is giving away 12-packs of Coors Pure to participants until April 14.

“From April 7th-14th, runners nationwide can track their beer-can shaped run on your favorite running app, submit a screenshot of your run map on email to beerrun@coorspure.com and get Coors Pure on us,” Coors said in a press release.

That’s right: Create a can-shaped route in the distance of your choosing, track it, screenshot it, and email it to Coors. Do that, and you’ll earn a $15 prepaid Mastercard to go toward a 12-pack of suds.

Coors Pure is a USDA-certified organic light beer with only three ingredients: organic hops, organic barley, and water. Each 12-ounce can contains 92 calories and no sugar — for athletes or anyone who enjoys beer that’s not heavy on the stomach. It comes in two flavors: original and Hint of Citrus.

So get outside, run around a giant beer can, and get yourself a free 12-pack before time runs out. Check the terms and conditions of the offer here.
