Cotopaxi x Sunski Treeline Sunglasses
Launched this month is this fun collab between two brands that need no introduction: Cotopaxi and Sunski. The Cotopaxi x Sunski Treeline Sunglasses ($89) have lightweight and recycled-material frames, polarized lenses, removable sun shields, and a bit more retro styling. And 1% of all proceeds go to the Cotopaxi Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to alleviating poverty.
United By Blue Workwear Duffle
Part of United By Blue’s new workwear bag collection is this Workwear Duffle ($148) addition. The 42L duffel is made with 100% organic cotton and cotton canvas, brass hardware, and leather zipper pulls. It comes in two colors: toasted malt (that’s tan) and slate (gray). It has both exterior pockets and interior compartments for stashing all kinds of clothes and gear.
Osprey Heritage Series Packs
A recent addition to Osprey’s arsenal of offerings is the Heritage Series. The Heritage Packs (from $60) “draw on the brand’s 46 years of product design,” and include classic silhouettes remixed with modern materials (Bluesign-approved fabrics). The packs themselves — five unisex styles, ranging from a laptop bag to backpack to musette — are 500-denier recycled nylon with a PFC-free DWR. Osprey designed the series for hiking, travel, and everyday carry.
Nutshell Coconut Fiber Coolers
Launched on Kickstarter, Nutshell may have the most unique idea yet for sustainable cooler insulation. Nutshell Coolers (now $169) are made from the fibers of coconuts. Specifically, these soft-yet-rigid collapsible coolers are made with natural coconut husk insulation (no plastic!), a 600D tear-resistant fabric, and a 100% certified recycled polyester yarn for the cooler’s water-repellent shell and liner, plus stainless metal hardware.
High Camp Highball Shaker
High Camp flasks is here to serve all our cocktail, mocktail, and beer needs. The Highball Shaker ($79) may seem pricey, but hear us out. It’s a cocktail shaker, strainer, drinking glass, and can koozie all in one. The design “is inspired by a traditional Mason Jar, our favorite highball cocktail glass,” wrote High Camp. It’s made with vacuum-insulated 18/8 food-grade stainless steel, with a leakproof twist lid — and it even has a nylon sleeve to protect it on the go. The Highball Shaker measures 14 ounces, or 20 ounces with the strainer.
Russell Moccasin Co. x Ball and Buck Trail Boots
Ball and Buck have partnered with Russell Moccasin Co. to create a water-resistant, low-profile hiker. The Russell Moccasin X Ball and Back Trail Boots ($398) have a Vibram 360 Force sole, water-resistant leather lining, 10-ounce camo Duck quarter paneling on the upper, brass eyelets, hand-sewn toe seams, and Ball and Buck’s 3/4 Poron cushioning. Each pair of boots is made to order; the boots will go on sale tomorrow, August 27.
Altra Lone Peak Anniversary Edition
Altra celebrates its 10th anniversary this month with the return of its original Lone Peak ($130). The shoe has some modern updates while offering “throwback upper materials” that conjure early days when Altra was a scrappy Utah startup. The 2021 edition comes with the company’s signature FootShape design to give feet more space to sit naturally. Large, canted lugs on the sole placed beneath the metatarsals provide traction and a fun anatomic touch.
KUIU Fairbanks Jacket
KUIU wants to offer a “sleek everyday mid-weight” jacket solution for all of your colder fall endeavors outside. The Fairbanks Jacket ($179) has 3M Thinsulate Water-Resistant Insulation, siliconized synthetic fibers for warmth and water-resistance, a weather-resistant CF full zip, and plenty of snap, zip, and drop pockets. Its low-key classic styling combined with the technical features make it a very versatile piece.

The Rumpl x Saxx Puffy Blanket and Quest Boxer ($32, $129) feature an artist “Fish Are Fly” design, and sales will benefit Plastic Bank, an org that raises awareness and funds to fight ocean pollution and improve lives in impoverished coastal communities. National Geographic Orbitkey EDC
Orbitkey partnered with Nat Geo for its biggest collab yet, and newest EDC. The National Geographic EDC Key Organizer ($45) is made with a cactus leather band and stainless steel hardware that can hold two to seven keys. The collection is “inspired by the mountains, oceans, and stars,” wrote the brand, with topo lines, river, and constellation patterns.
Beyond Clothing Yuba K6 Rain Anorak
Beyond Clothing’s new jacket looks pretty badass — the Yuba Ultralight K6 Rain Anorak ($285) is a three-layer waterproof shell weighing in at just 8 ounces. That’s pretty impressive for a longer, anorak-style jacket with zippered pockets and an adjustable hood. The Yuba Ultralight shell comes in five colors and sizes, from XS to 2XL.
Dr. Bronner's Travel-Size Toothpaste
New this season is Dr. Bronner’s 70% organic toothpaste, now in a travel-friendly 1-ounce package. Dr. Bronner’s Toothpaste ($2/each) is a low-foaming paste made with organic menthol crystals, organic fair-trade coconut oil, organic aloe, and other natural ingredients.
