Earth Treks North America's Largest Climbing Gym

Movement Gym Joins El Cap, Expands America’s Largest Climbing Network

Movement Climbing + Fitness just joined umbrella company El Cap, America’s largest climbing gym network.

Today, Movement Climbing + Fitness partnered with the El Cap Division to offer more indoor climbing locations. Climbers with Movement memberships will soon have complete access to Earth Treks and Planet Granite gyms. El Cap manages the largest nationwide network of indoor climbing facilities, and now Movement Gyms will join it.

“Effective November 11, 2019, Earth Treks members will have complete access to all three Movement Climbing + Fitness gyms, and Movement members will have access to all Earth Treks and Planet Granite gyms,” read the announcement.

Earth Treks Golden location

Earth Treks has locations from the California Bay Area to Colorado — including North America’s largest indoor climbing gym. The Earth Treks Englewood, Colorado, location boasts 53,000 square feet of climbing, training, and fitness areas as well as more than 500 routes.

Planet Granite, acquired by Earth Treks in 2017, offers gyms in Oregon, Texas, and Chicago as well. In total, the company offers 16 locations across the East and West coasts.

“We believe that by positioning ourselves with the prominently growing group in the country, we can have an incredibly positive impact on the rock climbing industry at a national level,” wrote Movement. “[We can] offer more services to members and guests, and more career possibilities to staff.”

Current Member Information

For members: If you have a monthly or annual membership at any of these gyms, you’ll be able to access all El Cap gym locations across the U.S. beginning Monday, November 11. Once you visit a new location, you’ll have to sign a new waiver and retest your belay certification. Membership prices across El Cap’s network will not change until January 2020.

For 2020, the price structure at Earth Treks and Movement locations will be as follows:

  • $82/month for an individual membership
  • $146/month for a family membership
  • $72/month for a student or corporate membership
  • An initiation fee of $49 will apply for each membership

Even if you aren’t a climber, these gyms offer plenty of fitness, core training, and yoga classes as well. Visit Planet Granite, Earth Treks, or Movement Climbing + Fitness websites for more information and upcoming changes to membership benefits.
