Touted as “the world’s only shag carpet-embedded skateboard,” the Shaggo Grom is a 22-inch board with plush carpeting on its deck.

You can ride it with or without shoes, and the company claims the design gives a comfy ride with less vibration than grip tape on top.

Check out the Kickstarter page, where founder Jeff Atkinson is trying to fund the project and launch carpet-embedded skateboards into the mainstream.

The company, based in California, sells other carpet-boards. This new model, which will cost about $130, is different because the carpet is inlaid on the board rather than bound at the edges and glued on the top. The result is better look, feel, and strength, Atkinson said.
