In the Swiss Alpine canton of Ticino, the Luzzone Dam splits the Brenno River and plunges over 500 feet to the valley floor. The world’s tallest artificial climbing route leads athletes in the opposite direction.

Welcome to the Luzzone Hydroelectric Dam, one of the tallest of its kind in Switzerland and home to the world’s longest continuous artificial climb.

In this GoPro clip, a handful of climbers take on the 525-foot adventure.

“I’ve been so queasy and nervous this entire trip,” one says.

“The longest I’ve climbed is, like, five or 10 minutes,” another admits. “I’ve never climbed for hours.”

Ready or not, here they come — right up the biggest artificial climb on the planet.
