Multi-Tool Made For Kids — A removable knife blade and a design built for kid-size hands sets the Leatherman Leap apart. We previewed this made-for-youth tool last month. At the OR Show it stood out as something different — a product for kids that’s a “training tool” but also cool enough to inspire confidence and pride.

A parent can add the knife blade when a kid is ready. Mean time, the Leap can perform a dozen tasks with its pliers, wire-cutter, screwdrivers, small saw, tweezers, and soda bottle opener.

Once the knife blade is added it requires two hands to open for safety. The handle ergonomics teach a kid to hold the tool right and open and use the blade pointed away from the body. Comes in multiple colors from Leatherman for $54 this fall.
