Six highly skilled Colombian skydivers took to the skies with a large ring, a wealth of broomsticks, a funny shaped ball, and a professional American aerial cinematographer to capture the first real life Quidditch match, and it is spectacular.

Of all the magic that made Harry Potter a global phenomenon, perhaps nothing captured the public’s imagination more than the daring, high-speed wizard sport – part hockey, part NASCAR, part Top Gun – of Quidditch, which embodied the best of all things reality can’t quite measure up to.

Until now. The match was part of a promotional video for a Colombian telecommunications company, but the result is less commercial than an actual extreme sport contest. Truly awesome.
