Whether you take a lot of selfies or not, chances are there’s been a time when you wish you could get in the frame of a photo without looking like a goof pointing the camera at yourself.
The new CaseCam iPhone case ($30) gives you the option of being in a photo with a simple but clever mirror placement.
The case has a mirror on a “kickstand” at the proper angle to reflect an image into the phone camera. So you simply push out the stand, prop the camera and get in the frame.
An app associated with the case functions as a timer for the phone, a feature handy enough to almost justify the case itself. The app also inverts the image, so it appears normal in the final photo, and it lets you control the camera and frame the image from another phone.
CaseCam is currently fund-raising on Kickstarter and has a ways to go to reach a $25,000 goal. But if you use your phone camera for a lot of photos and want to get in the frame, this unique case is worth investigating further.
