Norwegian Skier Hits 53 MPH With Jet Propulsion

[leadin]Well, here’s one way to get around a lack of mountains if you want to ski fast! Pia Rivelsrud, a former top alpine skier and current TV show host of the Norwegian show called Forbrukerinspektørene, tests gadgets and gear. She decided she would test the Dreamscience Jet Thruster the best way she could, by stealing the World Speed Record from snowboarder Jamie Barrow, who claimed the title with a run of 49.7 mph in 2014. The conditions weren’t perfect, but she claimed the title with a whopping 53.4 mph run on her final attempt.[/leadin]
