Mountain Hardwear is scheduled to open a company store in Tokyo on Sept. 10, making it the company’s third store in the world. The 2,100-square-foot store, in Tokyo’s Harajuku neighborhood, will feature both Mountain Hardwear and Montrail products to serve Japan’s growing trekking, biking and trail-running markets.
“We expect to see this store elevate overall brand awareness and increase consumer demand for Mountain Hardwear and Montrail products across our existing base of retailer partners,” Mike Wallenfels, Mountain Hardwear’s and Montrail’s president, said in a statement.
The Tokyo store joins the Portland, Ore., store, which opened in April 2008, and the Seattle store, which opened in December 2008. www.mountainhardwear.com
