In the track and field world, the 400-meters has long been considered one of the most grueling distances — basically a full out sprint for just a little too long.
This little suffer fest looks like a brute. The Red Bull 400 takes the classic long-sprint short-endurance distance to a whole new, darned near vertical level.
Held in Harrachov, Czech Republic, runners put their legs to the test in one of the steepest races across all of Europe — a total of 400 meters that climbs half as far up — 200 meters — as it does out on an Olympic ski jump. That’s gotta burn!
