An icon of capability, Land Rover built the four-wheel-drive Defender 90 for serious adventure. And one is up for grabs.
The Land Rover Defender 90 is renowned for its backroad abilities and classic good looks. A member of the original Land Rover Series, which launched in 1948, the Defender quickly grew a cult following.
And now, thanks to Orvis, you have the chance to drive one off into the sunset.
Valued at $125,000, this 1995 Heritage Edition Defender 90 has been restored by the talented folks of E.C.D. Automotive Design. They attended to every detail. From the rebuilt Rover V8 engine to the custom leather interior, it’s ready to handle some serious off-road adventures and look good doing it.
We had the chance to see it in person, and let me assure you, it’s just as drool-worthy in real life as it is in the pictures. The five-speed shifts smoothly, and the rumbling V8 is music to the ears.
The MOMO Indy steering wheel feels like butter in your hands. And the Kenwood stereo and Infinity speakers provide the perfect soundtrack as you roll down the road with windows down, wind blowing in your hair. With LED lighting throughout, it’s the perfect platform for an overland camping expedition. If you can stand to see it get dirty, that is.
In celebration of its own iconic Barbour line of clothing, Orvis is giving you a chance to win this custom Defender (and a pile of awesome adventure gear). The sweepstakes ends on June 22, and you can enter here.
