Every year, established pros and up-and-coming athletes descend upon Jackson Hole, Wyo., for one of the highest-profile freestyle skiing and snowboarding competitions in the world. The Kings & Queens of Corbet’s is renowned for the hype it generates. And it’s officially kicking off at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort today, Feb. 11, at 10 a.m. MST.
The competition is separated into four categories: men’s and women’s skiing, and men’s and women’s snowboarding. Athletes are judged on the tricks they throw, their line selection, and their flow throughout the course. At the end of the week, only two of the four top competitors will be crowned the 2025 King and Queen.
This year, there’s prize money on the line, too. For the first time in the competition’s history, there will be awards for first place ($5,000), second place ($3,000), and third place ($2,000), as well as a $5,000 bonus to the King and Queen.
