The second episode of ‘The Revelstoke Diaries’ web series features Revelstoke locals and pro skiers Greg Hill and Izzy Lynch.
Both longtime Revelstoke residents, Hill and Lynch have a deep passion for skiing and protecting the environment.
Holmlands media company spent a day with them in the Revelstoke backcountry, learning more about skiing, the Revelstoke community, and how these two take positive action against climate change.
The two athletes skin through a forest of snow-capped firs deep in the Revelstoke wilderness, casually chatting about electric cars and reducing fossil fuels — anything that helps make a difference for the planet and the mountains many of us call home.

Greg Hill started backcountry skiing in 1995 and moved to Revelstoke in 2000. Now one of the foremost ski mountaineers in Canada, Hill first made the news in 2010 when he climbed and skied 2 million vertical feet. He sold his truck and snowmobile, no longer heli-guides, and travels to all his adventures in an electric car.
Izzy Lynch is an accomplished athlete and backcountry skier who also has a huge passion for the environment. Lynch currently works as the program coordinator for Protect Our Winters Canada.
