‘Coolest’ Cooler Has Blender, Lots More

Coolers usually do one thing — keep food and drinks cold. Count it as two if you want to use it as a seat, but generally, that’s about it.

But not the Coolest. This new, complete redesign of the cooler has a lot of very rad abilities.

Most obviously, the thing has a blender built into the lid that runs off an 18-volt internal battery. The company calculates that it can make six gallons of drinks on one charge.

Already, I want to say “shut up and take my money.” But wait, there’s more!

Need music? No problem. The cooler holds a removable, waterproof bluetooth speaker with its own internal battery that the company claims plays for eight hours on a charge.

Need to charge a phone? The cooler has a built in USB charger.

Getting dark out and you can’t find your favorite beer? The lid has a built in LED light.

It even has a built in gear tie-down to use as a dolly, separated storage areas, a knife holder, plates and a bottle opener.

Apparently, I’m not the only one interested in this cooler. Coolest Cooler has already raised more than $1million and still has 50 days remaining in the company’s Kickstarter campaign. Their goal was only $50,000. (Update: just one day later and they are up to $2,360,441 with 49 days to go!)

This is one piece of gear that will take a party to test. The cooler sells for $185 during the campaign, which lasts until August 29. Order one now and it is scheduled for delivery by January/February 2015.
