Rivian x iKamper RTT Is Exactly What Your Electric Adventure Needs

With more and more electric pickups on the road, it makes sense that there will be more electric trucks off of the road. iKamper and EV-builder Rivian are working to make camping, exploring, and generally getting out into the great outdoors a little easier for you.

The Rivian x iKamper RTT is a new Skycamp Mini designed to work with your Rivian R1T truck and R1S SUV.

Starts With iKamper Skycamp 3.0 Mini

The Rivian x iKamper Skycamp Mini Rooftop Tent is based around iKamper’s Skycamp 3.0 Mini, our top-rated rooftop tent of 2025. The Skycamp Mini will fit on nearly any vehicle thanks to its lightweight and aerodynamic profile.

It’s more than just light, though. It also has plenty of features. It’s easy to put up, has quilting to help manage condensation, and has huge windows for airflow and views. An integrated telescoping ladder makes climbing in and out easier.

While there are plenty of positive features, one of our faves was its small size. You could fit it on a short-bed truck or even over the cab. That’s what makes it such a great fit for the bed of the R1T or on top of the R1S.

Comes With Rivian-Only Colors & Features

The Rivian x iKamper RTT comes with some features that are specific to this collaboration. These include Rivian Adventure Key Set locks for the mounting brackets, updated latches, and Rivian branding. It also has special blacked-out hardware and a “Rivian-inspired aesthetic” that includes exclusive color options.

It also has a sleeker aerodynamic shell. That’s to help reduce drag and thereby avoid cutting into the 400-mile-plus max range of the R1T. The Rivian version comes with an RTT 4-inch air and foam mattress, an upgrade from the standard tent.

The RTT is made from breathable blackout polycotton canvas and comes with a waterproof rainfly. The fly can be removed for better airflow and better views. iKamper says that because it doesn’t have a vinyl coating on the tent or fly, it’s quieter in the wind and more breathable.

Rivian x iKamper RTT Preorders Can Get a Modular Kitchen

Rivian x iKamper Skycamp Mini preorders are open now, with a starting price of $4,595. While supplies last, iKamper will also include its modular Disco Series Stove outdoor cooking system as a bonus for preorders.

The tent can be mounted over the bed or cab of the R1T pickup, and at the front or rear of the roof of the R1S.
