Shaun White has been busy since he “retired” in 2022. In October of that year, he launched his own snowboarding and apparel company called Whitespace. He’s appeared at speaking engagements like Outside Festival and attends competitions like the Paris Olympics. He’s made cameos in Good Burger 2 and The Real Bros of Simi Valley, and he’s soon to launch his own global snowboarding and freestyle skiing competition.
That isn’t all, though. This month, the three-time Olympic gold medal snowboarder also launched a limited-edition menu of curated delivery meals. White partnered with CookUnity, a meal delivery service, to create the list of meals, all of which were designed by the brand’s “award-winning chefs.”
Are these the same meals the Flying Tomato would eat before sending it into the X Games or Olympics halfpipe? Not necessarily. But they are his CookUnity favorites. White was “involved on a deep level in the creation of this collection,” the brand told GearJunkie.
CookUnity advertises these meals as high-protein and carb-rich meals, designed to stick to any snowboarder’s gut. For White’s fans and followers who bought into his other brand collaborations, like those he’s done with Oakley and Target, this could be an enticing offer.
Shaun White x CookUnity Meal Collection
Similar to HelloFresh and other meal delivery services out there, CookUnity delivers cook-at-home meals directly to your door. However, CookUnity claims to only use fresh, never-frozen ingredients, and its meals heat up and are ready to eat in no more than three minutes. CookUnity also says its meals are created by professional chefs working with the brand.
Shaun White’s CookUnity collection menu has 25 different meal options. Some options include Chef Esther Choi’s spicy braised beef with glass noodles and roasted potatoes, carrots, and shishito peppers. Or Chef Nahika Hillery’s jerk hanger steak bowl with bulgur, grilled pineapple, and corn, Chef Chase Evans’ grilled fajita chicken and quinoa burrito bowl, and many others.
“As a CookUnity consumer himself, Shaun White created a curation of the meals he eats from the brand to act as a way for others to replicate and enjoy the same meals he does,” the brand told GearJunkie.
This collection of Shaun White x CookUnity meals launched on January 12. It is a limited-edition menu that will only be available until March 2025. So if you’re interested, get some while the gettin’ is good. Otherwise, you might miss the opportunity to eat like the Flying Tomato — or at least, to eat like him when he enjoys CookUnity.
