Walking across a cable bridge can make your palms sweat — but how about building one?
This video follows the construction of the “Carasc” bridge in Switzerland. The 886-foot-long, 426-foot-high Tibetan bridge build by the Foundation Curzútt-S. Barnard allows hikers to cross the rugged valley that separates the communities of Sementina and Monte Carasso.
The eight month project cost $USD 1,430,878, not a minor investment for a hiking path. The finished product looks like an amazing, if vertigo-inducing, place to take a walk.
