A new slackline free-solo record was sent on August 2, 2015, by Spencer Seabrooke.
Seabrooke walked a 64-meter slackline suspended 290 meters above the ground near Squamish, British Columbia, with no safety equipment. The walk broke the previous record by seven meters.
The vast majority of high-line walks are done with safety equipment, so this attempt by Seabrooke was something of a rarity.
“This had to have been one of the most gut wrenching things I’ve experienced in my whole life, between operating the drone and watching him walk 290 meters above the earth’s floor, it was definitely something I have never experienced,” reported videographer Zachary Moxley, who shot the clip with a DJI Inspire 1 drone.
