More on the Prize Package
Made for alpine adventures, the waterproof/windproof Couloir jacket is built with a two-layer GORE-TEX membrane and GORE-TEX C-Knit lining known for its breathability. Inside, the PrimaLoft Gold synthetic insulation is body-mapped to provide greater warmth in cold spots.
The men’s and women’s Couloir GORE-TEX Insulated jackets have fully taped seams, two-way pit zips, pack-friendly front zippered pockets, and a built-in RECCO Rescue System reflector.
MEC chose a 70-denier recycled nylon outer shell to protect you from the elements and hold up to the crinkles and scrapes you’d expect from normal use.
Additionally, the jacket comes with an adjustable, helmet-friendly hood, contoured cuffs to fit gloves underneath, and a drawcord hem.
More on the Brand
MEC’s goal is to manufacture outdoor gear that will last for hundreds of adventures. That ethos is a reflection of the brand’s emphasis on durability and reducing its impact on the environment.
Originally established as a co-op in 1971, MEC is a Canadian retailer with its own in-house brand, MEC Label, which it sells directly to consumers. The MEC Label team develops and designs out of Vancouver, British Columbia, with the nearby North Shore Mountains as its proving ground.
