As long as I can remember I have had a love for the outdoors. I would go as far as saying the vast majority of my life has been spent outside in some way or another. Whether it’s work or play, I truly enjoy being immersed in nature. As a child it was BMX, skateboarding, fishing, various winter sports, a bit of surfing, a lot of camping, and so on. Fast forward to adulthood and things evolved into mountain biking, fly fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, adventure motorcycling and some overlanding. And lest we forget to toss in some hiking wherever I go just for good measure. Don’t get me wrong, I love blasting through a trail on a mountain bike or a dirt bike. But there’s something about exploring on foot that just adds a much deeper connection with your surroundings. Combine all of that with a passion for photography that I developed (pun intended) many years ago, which led to story telling through photos, which led to actual writing…and here we are.
