No stranger to big miles and long days, Canaan Vallejos resides in the Owens Valley in Eastern California. Between the craggy peaks of the Sierra and the high, rolling terrain of the White Mountains, he has endless terrain to run and scramble. With all that running, he burns through footwear, giving him the opportunity to test out plenty of running shoes on compact single track, in loose gullies, and on talused slopes.

A word from Canaan:
I grew up in Southern CO, where running and backpacking were formative activities that forever changed my life. It was back home that I fell in love with wild, beautiful spaces. That’s why I have chosen to live in a small, dusty town situated at the base of the Eastern Sierra. I’ve managed to put in 7+ years of specialty outdoor retail experience focused on running, backpacking, and backcountry skiing. I have been able to test a lot of different products while working at these shops. My field experience and access to a wide range of gear have enabled me to have a broad, discerning scope when it comes to selecting and reviewing gear. My evaluation process is methodical when I take gear out, focusing on one component at a time.
