Katie has spent the last decade connecting people with the outdoors and has worn many hats in the industry. Field science instructor, competitive climbing coach, canoe expedition leader, and mountaineering guide are just a few of her past identities. Now she splits time between Joshua Tree, California, and the Pacific Northwest, migrating seasonally to follow her work as a rock climbing guide. When she’s not guiding or writing gear reviews she writes about women in the outdoors, public land management, outdoor recreation access, and vulnerability in climbing.
