Everyday bike rides. Everyday joy. Get some inspiration for biking with this short film, highlighting a group of North Carolina riders and their routes in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Will Fryar and Michael Lowther are just two guys who love to ride bikes. And they especially love doing that in their backyard. “This film was inspired by the camaraderie of good friends, who each have their given skillset, to take a journey into our beautiful state’s wooded backyard,” film director Will Fryar explained.
“This journey wasn’t about the destination. Rather, it was about the many encounters, roads, rivers, and shared times together. Though we are all very different, our love for cycling is what brought us together. And what better way to enjoy this shared love than to travel together across the place we all call home?”
Inspired? Ride Their Routes
Fryar and Lowther tested their mettle traversing “the winding roads and trails that navigate Wilson’s Creek, Linville Gorge, Lake James, and more,” teased the directors in the film release. Like the look of the trails? Check them out for yourself next time you find yourself up in the Blue Ridge.
