Featuring some of the world’s best trails and best riders, this mountain bike film series will inspire you to explore.

The trails will be here long after we’re all gone. In the final episode of “Itinerology,” English filmmaker Sam Needham brings us a story of history and exploration — all from an old race trail transformed into something new.

Trans-Provence was a pioneer event in rally-style, point-to-point mountain bike racing. When it abruptly ended in 2019, many wondered why. The denouement of Needham’s series reflects on the memories of the trail. That, and it offers up some sweet footage of riders crushing the new singletrack.

Needham combines pulsing music, stunning photography, and lilting narration — all set to the breakneck pace of MTB riders. It’s not just about competition, it’s an homage to the joy and verve a two-wheeled voyage can bring us.

You can watch each installment of the series here: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and Part 4.
