The best custom bikes on the continent will be on display at The North American Handmade Bicycle Show (NAHBS), March 6th – 8th in Louisville, Kentucky. The trade fair features hundreds of made-in-the-USA, hand-built (as per the name) bikes that verge on art. Here are 10 of our initial favorites to be seen on the show floor.
Woody Bicycles
Wooden bikes are common at the show and Woody Bicycles does them well. This beauty has some amazing lines.
Groovy Cycleworks Sniper Ti 650
Check out this hard-tail titanium belt-drive mountain bike by Groovy Cycleworks. Groovy for sure.
Vlad Fat Bike
The Vlad Troika has a whole lot of fat and just one speed, so get ready to get strong!
REEB Destroyer
The company name is “beer” backwards, and the REEB Destroyer Dirt Jumper is an aerial-oriented, belt-driven hardtail made to suck up rollers and boost off lips.
Stinner Shale Shredder
Ready to grind some gravel? The Stinner Frameworks Shale Shredder is a wicked-looking ride.
Connor Woody Cruiser
With an upright riding position (and made mainly of wood, leather and rubber), the coaster-brake-equipped Connor Woody Cruiser should ride as smooth as it looks.
Holland ExoGrid
Yes, you can see right through this lattice frame. And yes, it’s all carbon. The Holland ExoGrid HC Full Carbon is a custom, handcrafted frame made in San Diego. Light, fast, and sexy!
Mosaic
G is for Gravel, and that’s what the new G-Series frames from Boulder-based builder Mosaic Bespoke Cycles are for. Steel and titanium models will be on display.
Victoria Cycles
This 650b singlespeed by Victoria Cycles uses lugs and fillet brazing in construction and looks sweet with white and silver accents.
Co-Motion Crusher
The Co-Motion Siskiyou Rohloff Explorer is a 650b bike with room for 2” tires. It’s built with everything you need for self-contained exploration, including fittings for three water bottles, a Rohloff 14-speed internally-geared hub, Gates Carbon Drive, and TRP Hylex hydraulic brake.
