Beach Trash to Treasure: Hydro Flask Gives Us the Lowdown on Upcycling

If plastic at the beach bums you out, you can always pick it up and throw it away. But what happens to it after that?

I know I’m not the only one who asks myself this whenever I pick up trash in nature: If I throw this away when I get home, what’s keeping it from ending up right back in nature after that?

One thing you can do to keep pollutants out of the environment is to upcycle them around your house. Watch as pro big-wave surfer Paige Alms shows us a few ideas in this quick Hydro Flask clip.

For example, a 2L bottle may not seem like the most elegant thing to make a drip system out of — but it’ll make plants happy just the same.
