We all know what a pub crawl is, but how about a pub paddle?

Well the folks in Traverse City, Mich. have been perfecting it for six years.

Paddle For Pints in a pub crawl paddle through through downtown Traverse City. The paddlers leave from Boardman Lake and paddle an urban route through the heart of downtown while hitting six breweries along the way.

Participants can use any non-motorized watercraft to make their way through the course.

The pub paddle does have a few walking legs involved but that should afford you the opportunity to walk off some of that buzz.

If you’re interested in signing up for the paddle, you had better do it soon. All but two of the weekends are sold out and you can be sure those probably won’t be open for long. $35 bucks gets you on the list for this unique beer tour.

Organizers have also launched a happy hour “pedal-and-paddle tour” daily to help meet demand for boozy outdoor sports. These guided tours take bikes to the first beer stop, then switch to kayaks, canoes, or stand-up paddle boards to travel to other breweries.

Groups of six or more can customize their three-hour tours to suit.
