This short ‘documentary of a documentary’ shows us how Whittaker — equipped with a GoPro 360, backpack, and some dirtbag ingenuity — managed to film his rope-free solo ascent of a 1,000m crack climb.
Pete Whittaker is a renowned British crack climber and author. As one half of the famous Wide Boyz climbing partnership, Whittaker is no stranger to taking a wild, sketchy idea and making it happen.
For the Brit Rock Film Tour, Whittaker and adventure videographer Alastair Lee devised a plan that would allow Whittaker to film himself, uninterrupted, while climbing.
