[leadin]This slim multi-tool looks almost exactly like a key, blending in innocuously on your keychain.[/leadin]
The MyKey is modeled after the shape and size of a regular house key. It’s just 0.10 inches thick and weighs a mere 0.185 ounces and machined from grade 5 titanium.
The small tool includes a cutting edge, a metric hex wrench set, a bottle opener, and a “claw” that can be used to pry open paint cans and remove staples. It can also fit a 4mm hex screwdriver bit.
There’s nothing on whether the “semi-sharp” blade is TSA safe, but the company does mention that it isn’t made to cut skin. More likely you can use it to open packages.
Keychain EDCs grow on trees nowadays, but it doesn’t look like that’s hurting this one’s popularity — the MyKey has raised more than $18,000 on Kickstarter, far surpassing the company goal of $2,000.
If you’re looking for a small multi-tool that will blend in on your keychain, the MyKey might be your ticket. You can pick one up for $20 from the company’s Kickstarter page.
