Get on ‘Team Sunny’ or ‘Team Cloudy’ for a shot at a Polaris discount, plus a chance to shred in a RZR. Whichever way you bet, all you’ll lose is 10 minutes of your day spent outside.
Polaris launches “Betting on a Sunny Day” to inspire people to get outside on June 11. The date marks National Get Outdoors Day, and it also constitutes an opportunity for Polaris to spread some prizes around and support a sustainability-focused nonprofit.
In partnership with The Weather Channel, Polaris has determined the 10 cloudiest cities in the U.S. Why? Because the company wants you to bet on whether or not any of them will see sunshine on National Get Outdoors Day.
It’s Polaris’ way of promoting getting outside on sunny days, and also giving you the chance to claim a discount at participating outfitters — and get your hands on some branded winnings.
How It Works
To enter, go to Polaris’ Betting on a Sunny Day page. Then, choose your “team” and throw down your proverbial chips.
The house (Polaris) is betting that every city on the list will see sunshine on June 11. If you bet with the house, you’re on Team Sunny. If you bet against it, you’re on Team Cloudy.
Everyone on the winning team gets a 10% discount at participating Polaris Adventures outfitters. If you lose, you’re not out a dime; you bet only your willingness to go outside for 10 minutes on National Get Outside Day.
Three prize winners, meanwhile, have a lot more to look forward to.

Win Big: Polaris Prizes
Up for grabs are two all-expenses-paid Polaris Adventures experiences to ride a Polaris RZR or Slingshot (a Polaris partner brand) at the location of your choice from the brand’s 200 outfitters nationwide.
You could also be the lucky winner of one free membership to Polaris Adventures Select. The subscription-based rental program works on a monthly payment basis to let users ride Polaris and partner-branded products like Indian Motorcycle, Slingshot, Bennington, and Godfrey pontoons at minimal hassle — most notably ownership, and everything that comes along with it.
Contest for a Cause
The campaign aims to get you outside, but Polaris is also using it to raise money for The Conservation Fund. The organization helps protect the waters and lands of communities throughout the United States, and it will now benefit from the Betting on a Sunny Day initiative. How? Polaris will put up a $2 donation to the group for each of the first 5,000 bets placed.
What do you have to gain? Ten percent off Polaris, possibly a whole lot more, and the peace of mind that comes along with supporting conservation. What do you have to lose? Ten minutes of your day spent outside.
We know which one we’d put our money on.
