Soul Ski — Like many skis, the Soul 7 from Rossignol is advertised as a do-it-all “quiver-killer.” But this time we can concur. Said our tester after his first day on the skis: “I rode the Soul 7 at Park City, Utah. Conditions were tough and icy, but the skis handled rock-hard bumps, hard-pack, cut-up crud, and groomers with ease.”
This is thanks to a rockered design that has a honeycombed tip and tail (read: lightweight) to put most of the weight of the ski underfoot. The result is a 136-106-126 ski that shreds powder but also handles anything a resort can throw its way between runs in the deep white.
